Lightning End Season on a Hot Streak

In the last game of the season, the Lightning used a balanced scoring effort to defeat Jefferson 63-59. Julius Henry played his best game of the year in scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. David Fuse and Raevon Davis came up big down the stretch making clutch plays and scoring big baskets. Freshman Mason Carpenter hit the two game-clinching FTs that help preserve the win.

Eastview ended the season on a high note, winning 11 of their last 13 games, giving them a final record of 18-8. The team finished second place in the tough South Suburban conference and were undefeated in non-conference play.

Balanced Scoring Leads EV Past Lakeville South

The Sophomore team continued their hot streak, winning for the 10th time in their last 12 games by topping Lakeville South 70-55. Raevon Davis led a balanced scoring effort with 22 points. David Fuse pitched in 17 and Mason Carpenter added 15.

Eastview quickly raced to a 18 point lead in the first half, capped off by back-to-back NBA range threes from David Fuse. After Lakeville South closed to within 5 in the second half, Davis, Fuse and Carpenter took control of the game on the offensive end, helping the Lightning hold on for the victory.

 

Eastview won for the 7th time in their last 9 games in defeating Kennedy 73-63. The trio of Raevon Davis (30 points), David Fuse (20 points) and Mason Carpenter (15 points) provided the offensive fire power, while the team played tenacious defense in the second half as they Lighting pulled away.

Eastview swept the season series with the Eagles and moved within a game of second-place Apple Valley in the conference standings.
