The Freshmen B squad played in the Lakeville South tournament at on Saturday, January 10th.  The team picked up a big win in round 1 beating Shakopee 40-39.  In a back and forth game, the Lightning found themselves down 2 with under 10 seconds to play. Dawson Nagel hit a step-back three as time expired to secure the win.  In round 2, they played Lakeville North.  After losing by double digits when they played earlier this year, Eastview showed some improvement against North.  The Lightning’s second half comeback attempt fell short despite some great defensive pressure put on by the Lightning defense.  They fell to Lakeville North, 42-48, and moved on to the third place game against Woodbury.  The squad clinched 3rd place in fantastic fashion with their second game winning 3 of the day.  This time it was Kaleb Peterson hitting from deep to give the Lightning a 1 point lead over Woodbury with 7 seconds left.  The Lightning got a stop to close the game and clinched 3rd place by winning 42-41.  Congratulations, Freshmen!
