For the second consecutive game, the Lightning had to overcome a double-digit deficit on their home court. This time it wasn't as daunting, but the end result was a third consecutive win to start the season.

After jumping out to an early 3-2 advantage, North St. Paul took advantage of poor defense by the Lightning to build a 15 point first half lead. Michael Brennan help spearhead a mini rally that saw Eastview pull within eight at half, 35-27.

As the second half began, the Lightning still seemed a step slow on both ends of the court as the Polars were able to once again build a double digit advantage. It wasn't until Eastview got a huge spark off the bench that the game started to swing in the Lightning's favor. DeShawyn Henry provided a lift with suffocating defense that helped get the Eastview fast break going allowing the Lightning to mount a rally. Essam Ibrahim started to get hot and with back-to-back three pointers with four minutes to go, gave Eastview it's first lead since minutes into the game.

For the second consectuive game, Nick Manders helped put the game away with clutch free throws going 3-4 down the stretch. Ibrahim led all scorers with 15, Henry pitched in 12 and Brennan added 9.

The Lightning moved to 3-0 on the season and next travel to Eden Prairie on Thursday to face the Eagles.
