The Lightning boys took down #2 rated Apple Valley, 73-70. In front of a packed gym, Eastview played inspired basketball, hit some big shots, and with the game on the line, they were perfect from the free-throw stripe, hitting 20-20 for the game. Drew Guebert let the charge with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but it was a team effort that had many contributors. Keegan Dickson had 13 points and 3 boards, Jameson Bryan had 13 points and 7 assists, and Sean Ryan added 12 points. Alex Bangh had a nice all-around game, including 7 points and 5 rebounds. Obi Ibeneme led the second half rally with 7 points and active defense. Connor Stevens dropped 4 assists at the end of the first half to give the Eastview the lead going into the locker room. Ronnie Norton, Martin Mitchell and Mason Carpenter were all out-sized on defense, but played with energy and heart and made a huge impact. RISE AS ONE has been the motto for the year, and Friday night they did just that! Let's keep the momentum going; let's have another full house on Tuesday when the Lightning host Prior Lake at 7:00pm!
