The 9A team got a well deserved win Tuesday night over Rosemount 60-48. The Lightning dug a hole the first half trailing at one point by 18, but climbed back into it the second half. Down 47-44 with 14 seconds to go, Ben Nuebert hit a three ball at the buzzer to put the game into overtime. The Lightning went on a 13-1 run in OT to secure the win. Two key factors in the win were increased level of team play and energy in the second half. Eastview won the battle on the boards 32-15 and made 72% of their free throws for the game. Stat sheet fillers for the game were: Sam Brill with 12 rebounds, 9 points (shooting 7/9 from the line); Will Barry playing with great emotion the second half grabbing 6 boards, scoring 14 points, deflecting 6 balls, and dishing out 2 assists; Ben Neubert dishing 3 assist, scoring 16 points, shooting 9/10 from the line; Essam Ibrahim had 4 rebounds, 4 deflection and 2 steals and 5 points, Jackson Bires had 4 steals, 5 deflections and 5 points; Nick Manders had 4 deflections and 2 steals.
