Lightning overcome sluggish start, foul trouble to pull away from Hawks

The Eastview Sophomore team kicked the season off in style with a 59-52 come-from-behind win over the Chaska Hawks on the road. Brady Miller played a great all-around game and led all scorers with 17 points. Khalil Poe chipped in 11 off the bench and Tyler Worm added 8 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lightning got off to a slow start in the first half and quickly found themselves down by 10 points before Miller took over. He started a 12-0 Eastview scoring run with an 8-0 run on his own, including two baskets from downtown.

Once the Lightning gained the lead, they never looked back, building a 7 point half time lead and never letting the Hawks get closer than 4 in the second half.

The only thing preventing Eastview from pulling away was foul trouble. The Lightning allowed the Hawks to keep it close by putting them at the foul line, where Chaska scored 20 of their 52 points.
