Lightning JV Boys heat up

The JV Boys Basketball team won two games over the cold break to improve the overall record to 11-6 on the season. Last Thursday, the Lightning won at home against Eagan 55-40. The defensive pressure attack was the key to victory in forcing the Wildcats to play up tempo. Martin Mitchell had 23 points including six three pointers while James Kirksey added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Darius Brown chipped in 7 points for the Lightning offense.

On Tuesday night, the Lightning beat Burnsville 65-57 on the road behind a season high 21 points from Nick Spann. Connor Stevens added 13 points, James Kirksey 12 points, and Brett LaDoux and Jack Weigele chipped in 6 points a piece.

The Lightning continued to bring the heat with their win over Lakeville North last night. The Lightning won with a score of 55 - 33 making them 12-6 for the season. Next up is an away game at Rosemount on Monday. Game time is 3:30pm
