9B Boys 3-0 over winter break

The 9B Boys basketball team had a productive winter break going 3-0. They started on Dec 30th beating Chaska by a score of 38-34. Isaiah Andrews led the team with 10 points, and he was followed closely by Willica Ajack, Alex Walrath and Andrew Yung. Overall, the team played together as a team and they were able to hold on down the stretch to get the win.

The team kicked off 2014 with a match up against a talented team and our crosstown rivals: Apple Valley. They were able to take an early lead and hold on until the end, prevailing with a score of 42-37. David Arndt, in his first game back from injury, led the team with 11 points, all scored in the first half.

With the extended winter break the boys the boys had to take on district rival Rosemount to remain undefeated for the two weeks. It was a back and forth game with 6 lead changes, but the boys were able to finish the game strong and came out with a 44-41 victory. Mike Franchino led the charge with 12 points, but it was a total team effort with 9 players getting on the score sheet.
