Coach Danny Olsen is entering his first season as the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach. A 1999 Eastview graduate, he brings 25 years of coaching experience including the last ten years at Eastview as the Head Sophomore coach and Varsity assistant.
Coach Olsen started his career at the AAU and traveling levels where he spent 15 years coaching K-12, including stints at the Minnesota Stars and 43 Hoops AAU programs and the Eden Prairie and Mound Westonka traveling associations. During his ten years at Eastview, he has led many successful Sophomore teams, including a 21-5 mark during the 2022/2023 season. Additionally, Coach Olsen served as the liaison to the EVAA travel and in-house program where he played an integral role in establishing relationships with the players, parents, and coaches. He also helped set up and led many skills training sessions as well as leading the tryout evaluation process.
He is currently the Director of Marketing for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community where he leads a team responsible for supporting the tribes’ community, employee, and business initiatives. Prior to that, Coach Olsen led teams at Target, 3M, Honeywell, TCF & Huntington Bank. He also spent time working for both the Minnesota Golden Gopher Athletic program and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Coach Olsen resides in Chaska.

Coaching Experience: Coach Robinson has 6 years experience coaching boys at different ages. He has coached boys basketball for different schools and programs such as Wayzata, Apple Valley, Team Tyus, Wear Out the Net, and Minnesota Magic.
Coach Robinson currently works at Radias Health as the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Favorite basketball memory: Beating St. Johns in the conference championship to advance to the national tournament.

Coaching Experience: Coach Sikich is in his 4th season coaching at Eastview High School, and in his 9th year overall, all with the Eastview basketball program. Coach Sikich's experience within the Eastview program includes coaching 7th and 8th grade for the Eastview Athletic Association boys' traveling basketball program and at the Sophomore level for EVHS. Scott has also assisted with the EVAA traveling basketball board specializing in Player Development.
Coach Sikich currently works for Touchpoint Media as the Manager of Video and Content.
Favorite Basketball Memory: Winning our first tournament in my first year of coaching.

Coach Mitchell has 5 seasons of head coaching experience with the Wear Out the Net AAU program in Lakeville. He's spent 2 years as a trainer at Minnesota School of Basketball coaching private lessons and team sessions, 2 years leading EVAA clinics for boys and girls grades 1-5, and several seasons as an assistant coach and mentor to teams with Apple Valley and Osseo Maple Grove's boys traveling programs.
Coach Mitchell grew up in Apple Valley and played 3 years of varsity basketball for Eastview. A captain his senior year (2015-2016), he ranks first in school history for free throw percentage in a career (87.7%) and third in charges drawn (20). He went on to play 4 years at Augsburg University.
Favorite Basketball Memory:
Winning the MIAC Conference Championship in 2018 and playing in the NCAA Division III National Tournament with Augsburg.

Previous Basketball Coaching Experience: Coach Flemmons has been coaching basketball for the past 15 years for both boys and girls programs at levels ranging from 3rd to 9th grade. Coach Flemmons has coaching experience in the Special Olympics of Minnesota and mentoring youth basketball programs in Cannon Falls and Apple Valley.
Other Coaching Experience: Coach Flemmons has been the Head Softball Coach at Cannon Falls High School, traveling baseball, and a variety of MYAS and AAU basketball teams.
Coach Flemmons currently is a Special Education Teacher at Eastview High School.
Favorite Basketball Memory: My favorite basketball memory was being on the bench in the state tournament and watched a player dribble through all five defenders and throw up a random shot that happened to go in. This propelled the team to the state finals after beating their rival for the first time in 10 years.

Other Coaching Experience: Coach Currie has over 30 seasons of coaching experience. Before coaching at Eastview, Currie coached at Richfield High School. Currie is also the Varsity Boys Soccer Coach (12 years) and Assistant Varsity/JV Girls Golf Coach (5 years) at Eastview High. The Lightning Girls Golf team finished 3rd Place last year at the Class AAA State Tournament.
Coach Currie currently is an English Teacher at Eastview High School.
Favorite Basketball Memory: The 9B team winning the 9th Grade Conference Championship against Apple Valley HS in the inaugural year.
